Still have a fantastic brunch!
This is my second visit here and as much as I want to give them more stars, I can’t. The food is okay. The drinks are ok. The staff is friendly. The happy hour options are great. The restroom is horrible! This time and the last time. I would expect it from from a gas station in a random city off the freeway but a restaurant...? it’s unexplainable! Please keep your restrooms clean, it only makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like.
Love the caramel banana dessert
Such good brunch. We drive 25 minutes to get here because it's worth it! I love the wide selection. The servers always make sure your mimosa is full! Just look out for seat snaggers. We got out table jacked while we were filling our plates. The manager took care of the situation very efficiently!
I had never been to El Torito until today. My girlfriend And I decided to check it out! We had to $50 valentine special. The food was very very delicious and our server Miguel gave exceptional service. Table touching to see if the food was good and refilling our drinks before we finished them. We will definitely be coming back to El Torito.
The street corn was disgusting. They took it off the bill tho. Drinks were good
El Torito was giving free meals today for kids under the age of 12, and it's very touching how a business can think of others instead of themselves first, because in these tough times it is hard for many people to be able to afford meals for their kids at home. Thank you so much for your kindness, God Bless you.
We like to go for Sunday brunch and all tho the food deserves a 5 star. The service should be a 2 so compromise.(Our server was horrible)
I came here with my homies for a skateboarding contest for some food. The decor and setting is perfectly what I imagine a Mexican themed restaurant to be. To start off, we had chips and salsa and the waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Shrimp, chicken and steak fajitas combo with pleasure and they light it on fire right in front; of you a nice little touch if you ask me. The prices aren't too bad at all, I paid $21.99 for the ultimate fajita meal and the salsa was great. 4 stars for sure.
Had one of the worst experiences! My boyfriend have been wanting to eat here for a while for the first time until we decided recently to come here to eat the waiter that assisted us first sat us down and completely forgot about us! We waited for more than an hour just for a completely different waiter to ask us if we've been served yet and obviously not so he served us and the food wasn't even good for the amount of time that we waited.. not only that but the waiter that forgot about us served a group of cops that were right in front of us!!! and didn't even have the audacity to apologize for completely forgetting about serving us... Never coming here again!! I rather go to Chick-fil-A next time
We came to this place for dinner. my friend recommended this spot. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt good. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.
The brunch is the best! Delicious food, and pretty good service. I like the margaritas
The service was very professional. I can see why families like to bring kids here. The interior is so clean and looks like the inside of a theme park restaurant and bar.
Came tonight at 4 pm, for an early dinner with my Dad. No wait, and was greeted nicely and taken to a booth table in the back. Cruz was our waiter. He was nice and very attentive. Chips were warm and salsa had just the right amount of spice. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and Dad had the shrimp/steak fajitas. Tropical ice tea was nice and strong and perfect flavor. The fajitas were a little bland and so were the beans, but otherwise still good. Bathrooms were a mess. Cruz is an excellent waiter and I would ask for his area when I come again, plenty of parking too. Come to this spot over woodland hills any day! They even had happy hour today on Easter.
All you can eat lunch was delicious with tacos and enchiladas. Also chile verde and plantains.. Very friendly staff. Outside dining was preferred due to covid but it was nice.
The food hasn't been thst good lately usually I love their food but something has changed The lttle corn bread was not cooked, the rice was more like Chinese rice, the enchiladas were good
Great food great service great price.
We've been coming to this restaurant for quite a long time. They have the best happy hour and the food is delicious. The service has been great and the prices are reasonable. Keep in mind, come hungry, the plates are not small.
We were on the west side of the valley so we decided to try this old Family Restaurant unfortunately for us this food was subpar. Everything tasted the same nothing was very flavorful the presentation was the same as it was 20 years ago. I don't know if our taste has become more sophisticated or this is just lackluster food but we're going to move on from this restaurant to the places that we found that are so much better. If you're just looking for a taco or enchilada that's medium of the road this is your place. Lots of parking. Restaurant was clean. Waiter was helpful.
Great food. Service was A LITTLE SLOW, but I want to think it's because of all the new restrictions. Hopefully it will get back to normal when I didn't have to chase down a server to get a drink. But good overall.
Great customer service, excellent drinks and appetizers.
Good service 🙂👨🍳
The good: 1. the food and our waiter were awesome. 2. The manager seemed to care about complaints. 3. I did not get sick after I ate here. The bad: 1. A waitress that was walking around cleaning tables was very rude to me and my guests. 2. The portions could have been larger, considering their prices. 3. The resting room is very cramped and does not have sufficient stalls.
Great food but unfortunately service from the wait staff leaves a lot to be desired
This place is getting better and better. They added more stuff on the menu. Delicious things. Their brunch is good, but they increased their prices!
Very warm and welcoming. Great food also!
Food & drinks were great!
I love it coming from Connecticut I would love to come back and enjoy more food
Their salsa is delicious. The Sunday buffet has so many delicious options. I love the tortilla soup. Their green salad dressing is great. The only reason I took away a star was because service can be hit or miss.
My friend and I had delicious Caesar salad/tortilla soup combo.Stuffed, and yum!Great service.Happy, happy.
El Torito Waiting has always been my favorite. The wait was never long , but this visit wait time was exaggeratingly long. I estimated that it was due to the outside patio setting. On a positive note el Sr Miguel reencompensated with his attentiveness and hospitality. I was overall content!
Staff is really nice, the food we order wasn't that good though. The fiesta platter not recommended. Drinks in the other hand were delicious
Very good. We have not been in a while and we really enjoyed everything. Ate in the patio where tables were adequately spaced, staff all wearing masks and many also face shields. Margaritas were very good.
Nice place for Mexican Food, clean, specials , drinks, prices over average , good to go with your couple to celebrate , nice place to make celebrations with your co workers, parking, bathrooms
Delicious, yummy, and all around nice experience, a bit pricey, but definitely worth the price 😋
Great service by Eraso Cruz he did great we were a big table but he managed it all and gave us excellent service with a positive attitude
The service was absolutely fantastic our waiter jose was great the food as well i love the new parking patio they did with the tent made it feel fresh even though its hot outside it felt very cool inside the tent will be returning thank you.
Outdoor seating with portable A/C. Excellent service. Yummy Fiesta Platter and Cadillac Margi's!!!
Went today for brunch, Love their food and the customer service from all the staff. I believe was manager Alex he was very professional and curtious to my whole family. Will be going back soon
Saturday late brunch buffet. They weren't busy. This time, the tortilla chips were much better than the last time. Thin and crisp. They didn't have the waffles my husband liked so much last time. When I asked the waiter, he waved at the omelet chef across the room and signaled how many waffles to make. We got fresh waffles...and all the fixings. Chili Colorado is really a good stew. And their salad fixings, with pepitas and colorful tortilla strips and their special green dressing. Excellent. The only flaw, they don't have crispy tacos. I love the crispy tacos that are on their regular menu. Service is always good.
Had our first quarantine date night and we had Juan A as a server and I will say he was one of the best servers I’ve had. Very attentive and didn’t forget anything in the order. Will come back Definitely and hopefully get him again. The restaurant was very clean and adhered to social distancing and every table the was done with the service was cleaned in what looked like a 2 step process. Kudos!
We ordered the Muscle Combo and Sizzling Combo. The food was delicious and the size was HUGE. Only down side is the the serving time is kind of long.
Good Mexican restaurant located in a bustling shopping centre. Been a mainstay of the Valley for several decades. Has solid enchiladas, ice cream dessert, and spacious Mexican-inspired interior. Friendly staff + good service
I had a really nice time in El torito, waiter was very friendly and there was plenty of space between the tables.
My family ordered to go orders and the food was cold....so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. The enchiladas I ordered had no flavor and I ended up giving my food to my dog. My husband ordered the street tacos and the carnitas tasted like old meat. We were so disappointed. Taco Bell tastes better than this food and their food is always hot to order.
The place, the food & the associates are good. Our server is good. Their Grande Fiesta Platter have good selections of finger food in it especially the flautas. Our only disappointment is that our margarita is not really a margarita but just a Mango juice. There's hardly any tequila on it & too much blended ice that when it melted as we ate & talk, the more it becomes a Mango juice. Maybe that's how they make it for their Happy Hour, because they priced it cheaper. But even though...not good.
Great service and great food!
I haven't been to an El Torito is years...like years. But it was good food and flavors yummm. We went for my bday and they crew sang happy bday and also brought out flan. $3 margaritas and $5 Cadillac during happy hour 🍹
El Torito is from mnow on my favorite restaurant,Taco Tuesday All you can eat is the best in California!! Huber was our guardian angel today, thanks to him our experience was unforgettable. Thank you Huber!!
Not like it used to be. But considering the hypocritical modifications they're doing their best to survive.
